I’m Dan Foley, producer and host of The Maine Event Radio Show. As the name implies, it’s about Maine’s homegrown talent, which includes those from today, yesterday, from around here who have moved to other parts, and those who may be from elsewhere but love coming to Maine to practice their trade, just because it’s such a great place. In other words, your Maine connection, whatever it may be, gets your work on the radio with The Maine Event! For that reason, I invite you to add any or all of your recorded material to the program library, and rest assured it will be heard on a regular basis, because there is no dusty back room where ‘the old stuff’ is suffering from neglect. We accept vinyl records and cassettes, too– but sorry to say, 78 RPM records made of wax are not doable. (And if you do have 78′s, it would be a privilege to play it on the air after transfer to cd.)
The Maine Event Radio Show started small, right at home in the Western Foothills of Maine, and has been on the air for over 20 years, rightly claiming the honor of being one of the original efforts to bring local and regional talent to the ears of the listening public. What a great alternative to ‘Corporate Radio’!!
